CHAIIWALA, the fast expanding all-halal “Indian” streetfood cafe, has today opened its second outlet in an airport. It’s their 120th restaurant across the globe.
The new outlet is at Birmingham airport and follows the first one at Luton airport. Now diners seeking a halal treat as they fly out from or arrive at Birmingham airport, or wait for friends or family to fly in or out, will be able to grab a spicy tea or coffee to enjoy with a tasty snack.
Streetfood on offer includes a focussed range of wraps, toasties andsnacks. There’s also “Bombay Bowls”: reminiscent of the rice-based bowl invented in Hawaii and now popular across Asian, the Chaiiwala version tempts with a choice of chana masala or butter chicken rice bowls or lamb keema or chicken tikka bowls which are based on rice or chips. Cake and ice cream are also on offer: what’s not to like?
