HEAD OVER to Victoria Park (quickly, run!) to enjoy the finals weekend of the Mayor’s Cricket Cup 2026.

A quick post on Tower Hamlets Council’s X page reminds us that these finals are taking place today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday.

You can read more about the Mayor’s Cricket Cup on the Council website. Sadly, the website page has not been updated to tell us which teams are in the final. There is a line inviting the viewer to “read the full set of rules and regulations”, but this is not a link, so we can’t.

Tower Hamlets residents deserve better! Perhaps the Cabinet Member for Things Including Sport needs to get on top of the publicity teams that work on the Mayor’s various sporting cups, as publicity for them all has been hard to find. Let’s hope for better luck in 2027.
